Organic Root Stimulator Lock and Twist Gel

I recently decided to go back to natural hair (I am black). Initially I wore braids but after a few months of braids I grew tired of them. Added to that, braids were expensive and my hair would fuzz within 2 weeks.   

So I made the decision-I was not wearing any more braids for at least four weeks but I had no clue what I should do with my hair. I tried various “styles” but the truth was that my straighten hair and my natural hair were like oil and water ...they weren’t mixing. So even though I did not want to ...I had to do it...the BIG CHOP. After I cut off the straightened ends my hair closely resembled a bird’s nest (actually my brother said it looked like a rat’s nest). Anyway, what was I to do?

I then had a brilliant idea to plait my hair, after all I used to twist my hair before, so I thought this would be simple.  So I proceeded to spend 4 whole hours plaiting my rather short hair.

Well, I was in for the shock of my life when I woke up for work the next morning...most of the plaits has become loose...Oh my gosh what was I to do?.  My hair was definitely not a pretty site- it really looked close to a rat nest.

And then I saw a jar of Lock and Twist Gel used by the lady that braided my hair. Now I don’t usually like gel because it makes my hair brittle and causes my hair to break ... but I was desperate so I grabbed the jar and tried some on. It was like magic, my hair was transformed...the frizz disappeared, the waves were enhanced, my hair was soft ...basically it did the trick. Halleluiah!

And best of all the hold was great all day, as well as the shine and there weren’t any flakes.  I must add that I used some moisturizer with it (Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Hair Lotion) and I would advise you to do the same.  I have been using Lock and Twist Gel every day and it has not caused my hair to become brittle or to break like regular gel.

This product is definitely a treasure and is readily available in most cosmetic stores. I know it is a bit more expensive than regular gel but it is worth it. Now I have told you what I think about this product please tell me what you think about Organic Root Stimulator- Lock and Twist Gel.
